Basmati Rice

Ingredients
Experiment with Rice options and find your favourite or ‘signature’ rice.

Plain Basmati Rice

One handful Basmati Rice per person plus one extra handful for seconds!
Rinse first.
1 tsp salt (exclude with Fragrant Rice).

Ideal with hot or spicy dishes.

Option for Coconut Rice

For more fragrant dishes, fish or seafood, Thai Curry - use coconut water (available from Aldi) and add frozen Petit Pois for colour.

Option for Lemon Rice:

1/2 tsp Turmeric
🍋 1 tbsp lemon juice.

Ideal with rich dishes such as Butter Chicken and with fish or seafood dishes.

Option for Fragrant Rice:

Pinch of Chilli Flakes 🌶
2 Cloves
1 Bay Leaf
3 Cardamom Pods (pierced)
1 Cinnamon Stick 7 - 8cms
1 Chicken Stock Cube
1/2 tsp turmeric

Ideal with fragrant dishes such as Passanda.
