Beef Bourguignon

Two large onions cooked to melting
1 tsp salt

1 stick celery
1 lge carrot

2 rashers smoked bacon
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp rosemary.
1 tbsp tomato puree

4 cloves garlic
Minimum 250 ml red wine

750g stewing beef

200g chestnut mushrooms
1 beef stock cube in 500ml hot water
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt (optional)

Simmer 2hrs until tender

Garnish ♥️ and serve 🌝
