Thanks for sending in your recipe Dean. When I saw the Star Anise I thought it was Nigel Slater influenced but the use of fennel makes me wonder. I've never seen this before but there's an authenticity here because fennel is used in Italian sausages and these are often used in Ragu. I will be trying this recipe myself and will be watching the Reviews with great interest!
